Spare Parts Interpreter

Performax International, based in Gympie, imports, converts, and retails selected American performance vehicles. With staff of over 60, Performax International has grown to be the largest importer and converter of these vehicles in Australia. We are planning for additional vehicles to enter the market creating massive growth potential both nationally and internationally. As the regional winner of the QLD Training awards “2011 Employer of the Year”, we strongly support training, personal development and progression within the company.
Due to growth of the company Performax International is in need of a motivated and enthusiastic Spare Parts Interpreter. In this position you will be an integral part of the Production Parts team supplying the conversion production line with kits and other requirements in a timely and effective manner, maintaining stock levels and contributing to the constant improvement of the conversion parts supply process.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
• Previous automotive parts interpretation experience essential
• High level communication, planning and organisational skills
• Sound computer skills
• Ability to articulate Parts department KPI’s
• Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Work well in a team environment
• Be flexible and operate in a dynamic environment and assist the team to meet deadlines and company goals
• Have a good vehicle driving record
• Knowledge of the Units computer system would be advantageous

The role includes working as a key member of the quality team, monitoring processes to ensure quality standards are met, documenting the non-conformance process and assisting to implement corrective and preventative actions, liaising with production teams to achieve desired outcomes and commitment to achieving company goals.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
• High level communication, planning and organisational skills
• Be self-motivated, tenacious, have a strong work ethic and work well in a team environment
• Have a good attention to detail and possess high standards, be methodical, good follow up disciplines, and the ability to implement corrective and preventative actions
• Computer literate particularly Word and Excel, ability to create graphs and learn in-house software packages
• Mechanical knowledge would be advantageous as would an understanding of Safety legislation
• An understanding of ISO 9000, Quality Management systems
• Be flexible and operate in a dynamic environment and assist the team to meet deadlines and company goals
• Have a good vehicle driving record

Qualified Service Technician

We are looking for a Qualified Mechanic to join our team of highly skilled technicians.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
• Motor Mechanic Trade qualification
• Current Road Worthy Licence would be advantageous
• Diagnostic and auto electrical experience a must
• A proven track record in the repairs & maintenance of a broad range of passenger motor vehicles
• Excellent reliability and ability to work well within a team environment
• Able to work on your own initiative
• Ensuring OH&S policies are adhered to at all times
• Maintaining a clean and tidy work station at all times
• Must be well presented and well spoken
• Desire to commit to a Full-Time, Permanent Position
• High customer service focus and good communication skills.
